This Tuesday and Wednesday Kim and Tim were in Dallas with the most recent Roadwire Leather Training Class. Several RI members from across the country attended this 2 day course. Roadwire’s number 1 trainer, George, walked everyone through a typical installation, then turned them lose for the ‘hands on‘ experience.
Also included in the course was how to install seat heaters, proper wiring techniques, and how to use the Roadwire website to identify and order kits.
2 members who have already been installing leather but wanted further training commented that after the first morning they had already learned enough to make the trip worthwhile. They commented:
- ‘Even though we already install leather, we always learn more from training’…
- and ‘I had never thought to use a steamer to pop plastic panels or to stretch the leather – that alone was worth the time and cost of coming!!’
