RI Web Conference #5 was scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2016 but due to a last minute Vendor cancellation, we will not be able to hold this months Web Conference.
It would be unfair to other Participants and/or Vendors to ask them to prepare any type of presentation on such short notice.
We are planning to hold the next regularly scheduled Web Conference on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM Central Time. We will post details for that program as they become available. Thank you for your understanding.
This is very unfortunate. The arrangement was just starting to get a little momentum. Sorry to hear about the cancellation.
Agreed Jerry, it is unfortunate. But you know first hand how difficult it is to prepare a presentation on short notice. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and helping out with our third Web Conference. We will be back after the first of the new year, and hopefully can continue without any hitches.
Maybe a mass email a week before to remind?
Good suggestion Sean!! We generally send out at least one mass email several days before, but of course sometimes they get caught in spam filters.
Going forward, as we are learning the abilities of the conferencing software, we are adding ‘direct invitations’ to the system, which then send an annoying number of reminder emails counting down to just before the conference time. We plan to add as many of our members as possible to this ‘invitation’ system before our next conference on Jan 9. So watch for an annoying number of emails about our next one!!
